Tryptophan Question: Do you carry Tryptophan for Horses?
Dr. Henry Cheng: Yes, we sell L-Tryptophan for horses. The law stipulates that we cannot sell L-tryptophan as a 100% pure product. (Don't ask me why.) So, we sell L-tryptophan as "Trypto-B" which is a 1:1 mixture of L-tryptophan and Thiamine hydrochloride. Both Tryptophan and Thiamineare calming agents and they work synergistically. We feel that Trypto-B works even better than pure L-tryptophan.
Dosage: 1 to 3 teaspoonfuls per dose depending on the horse.
